I'm Gem, a criminology and journalism graduate who after making the move to the city, spends most of my free time stitching and designing textile art, on my trusty sewing machine, John. As someone with the worlds shakiest hands I was always told as a child I would never be good at art… and so I present Tremor Textiles, a labour of love and defiance where I can share my work and the stories that matter to me. At Tremor Textiles, we love the perfectly imperfect - that's why all our products are created with sustainability in mind. From second hand books to fabric scraps, every hand made item is stitched with minimal wastage, meaning less beautiful fabric ends up in landfill, and is transformed into unique artwork instead.
